We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Technician to join our Site Engineering team. You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to providing best in class engineering support to the manufacturing operation.

Your role is to optimise production performance, quality and minimise plant downtime through effective preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs. The working pattern associated with this role is 3 on 3 off rotating 12 hour shifts including both day and night shifts.

The Role

Adhere to the companys health, safety, environmental and personal standards policies. Complete daily maintenance tasks including preventative, reactive and corrective work to support the site manufacturing operation, delivering optimum plant availability and reliability.

Must have the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment issues promptly to avoid production delays. Responsible for ensuring the quality of work carried out is maintained at the highest possible standard and compliant with site quality requirements.

Attend daily meetings both within the engineering function and plant operations when required to provide maintenance updates. Liaise with Contractors during planned service maintenance and reactive maintenance. Ensure that all maintenance activities are recorded on the CMMS.

Lead and support improvement initiatives Support the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment. Work as part of an inter-dependent team with flexibility to take on all other reasonable tasks. Ensure all tools, equipment and work areas are kept in good condition

The Person

Essential Criteria: Time served apprenticeship (electrical/mechanical) with a recognised UK qualification. A minimum of 3 years engineering experience (mechanical or electrical) in a fast moving manufacturing environment.

Highly motivated with the ability to perform in a highly challenging, expanding environment. Confident individual with excellent communication skills with the ability and skill set to develop and support the team. Excellent problem-solving skills methodical & analytical approach to work.

A high degree of IT literacy to include Microsoft Office and CMMS Must have the ability to follow electrical schematics, pneumatics, mechanical component drawings, as built and as installed drawings. Ability to read and understand electrical drawings Demonstrate strong attention to detail when carrying out tasks A flexible approach Desirable Criteria: Experience of working in the food Industry Experience of working in FMCG sector Automation experience The closing date for applications is 5.00pm on Wednesday 16th September 2026.
