Retrofit Sales Engineer

Overview

As an HVAC Retrofit Sales Engineer, you will identify and secure retrofit, replacement and energy‑efficiency opportunities for commercial and industrial clients. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to handover, while building lasting customer relationships and achieving revenue and margin targets. You will collaborate with internal teams to deliver projects and promote low‑carbon solutions that align with sustainability goals. This role offers technical and sales growth in a collaborative, safety‑driven environment with a clear impact on decarbonisation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new HVAC retrofit and replacement opportunities
• Conduct site surveys and assess existing HVAC systems
• Develop technical and commercial proposals for customers
• Present solutions and negotiate contracts
• Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle
• Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and pipeline reporting
• Build long-term relationships with customers, consultants and contractors
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Promote energy-efficient and low-carbon solutions

Key requirements

• Proven sales experience within HVAC, building services or retrofit solutions
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems
• Ability to develop customer-focused technical solutions
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Commercial awareness and a results-driven approach
• Full UK Driving Licence
