Robotics Engineer

Overview

As a Robotics Engineer at Fuse Energy, you will build autonomous robotic systems that operate in real-world environments. You’ll work across research, planning, control, and deployment, shaping the robotics program’s long-term direction. Expect to tackle perception, planning, and control challenges using modern ML and robotics techniques. This role combines research with field delivery, contributing to a mission-driven energy platform that balances the grid and enables scalable AI infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy autonomous robotic systems for real-world use
• Develop planning, perception and control systems using modern ML and robotics methods
• Research and implement state-of-the-art embodied AI, transformer architectures, reinforcement learning and robot learning approaches
• Integrate sensors, actuators, perception pipelines and control frameworks into robust production systems
• Help define the long-term technical direction of Fuses robotics programme

Key requirements

• Strong experience building and deploying robotic systems in real-world environments
• Proficiency in Python and C++ (systems programming)
• Experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS2
• Solid understanding of motion planning, robot control, computer vision and perception systems
• Experience training and deploying machine learning models
• Familiarity with transformer architectures, reinforcement learning, imitation learning or robot learning techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
