Salary: £48,000 - 88,000 per year

Requirements

3+ years of experience in an industry software design position A degree or masters in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline Strong commercial experience with modern C++ (C++11–20) and Linux Experience with performance testing, profiling, and software optimisation Experience with databases, ideally PostgreSQL, and data-driven software systems Experience with robotics software development and integration; ROS2 experience is beneficial

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimise modern C++ software for robotic platforms, focusing on fleet control, data acquisition, and performance monitoring Develop real-time data pipelines to capture, aggregate, transfer, and analyse robotic system data Identify and integrate fleet management frameworks such as Open RMF to support autonomous robot scheduling Collaborate with robotics, vision, machine learning, mechanical, and electronics teams within an Agile development environment Test, debug, and validate software performance, reliability, and deployment readiness Technologies: Support Linux Machine Learning PostgreSQL Robotics C# C++ Python More: We are Fieldwork Robotics, an innovative robotics technology company developing advanced technology for real-world environments.
