Roofing Tutor/Trainer – Waterproofing Location: Building Futures – Westgate, Aldridge, Walsall, WS9 8EX Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per year Employment Type: Full-time Working Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:30am–4:30pm | Friday, 8:30am–2:30pm About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Waterproofing Roofer to join our team as a Tutor/Skills Coach.

In this role, you will deliver engaging training sessions, assess occupational competency, and support the development of apprentices and students in Waterproofing. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring high attendance, retention, and achievement rates. Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Delivery

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective training sessions for groups of apprentices and students.
• Develop and implement training programmes that lead to successful outcomes.
• Conduct Off-the-Job Training Workshops and Study Programme sessions.
• Monitor and manage Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) to track apprentice progress.
• Ensure training delivery aligns with employer needs and industry standards. Assessment & Progress Monitoring
• Conduct initial assessments and set challenging yet achievable targets.
• Assess student and apprentice portfolios and provide constructive feedback.
• Conduct regular reviews of progress and document findings.
• Facilitate workplace visits to support apprentices in achieving their qualifications.
• Prepare apprentices for End-Point Assessment (EPA) using the NOCN RUBRIC platform. Student Engagement & Retention
• Ensure student and apprentice attendance and retention targets are met.
• Provide ongoing support to help students develop essential English and maths skills.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Performance & Targets
• Work towards set performance targets to meet contractual obligations.
• Maintain high standards of training delivery and assessment. What We're Looking For
• Relevant industry experience in Roofing (Waterproofing).
• A recognised teaching or training qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
