Room Leaders – Baby Room & Pre-School Location: NorthamptonshireContract: Permanent | Full-TimeSalary: £13.50–£14.50 per hour (dependent on experience)Positions Available: 2 (Baby Room Leader & Pre-School Room Leader)About the RolesACR Recruitment & Training Ltd are supporting a vibrant nursery in Northamptonshire in recruiting two passionate Room Leaders for their Baby Room and Pre-School Room.
These are exciting opportunities to create nurturing, engaging environments where young learners can explore, develop, and thrive. As a Room Leader, you'll guide your team in delivering high-quality care and education, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and inspire your room team to deliver exceptional standards of care and educationPlan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities in line with EYFS 2025Support children's individual needs through tailored care plans, including those with SENDAct as Key Person, building strong relationships with familiesMaintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment, adhering to health and safety regulationsFoster positive behaviour management strategiesSupervise and mentor junior staff membersConduct regular risk assessments and ensure emergency procedures are up to dateCommunicate effectively with children, parents, and colleaguesWhat We're Looking ForEssential:NVQ Level 3 or above in Childcare (UK recognised)Health and Social Care qualifications are not recognised by OfstedProven nursery experience with strong room management and leadership skillsSound knowledge of childhood development and EYFS 2025 frameworkExperience with behaviour management in early years settingsFirst Aid certification (or willingness to complete – we can arrange training)Enhanced DBS check requiredDesirable:Experience with infants, toddlers, or children with SENDPrevious Room Leader or supervisory experiencePersonal Qualities:Warm, professional, child-centred approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsPassionate about making a positive difference in children's livesWhy Apply Through ACR?We provide friendly, professional support throughout recruitment, matching candidates with roles that align with their skills and career ambitions.
