Rural Surveyor

Overview

As Rural Surveyor you join a well-established property and land advisory firm to guide land management, valuations, and agency activity. You will manage rural and mixed-use portfolios, support development and planning tasks, and help secure new instructions through strong relationships. The role blends valuation work with property management and client-facing duties, offering development and progression opportunities within a collaborative team. This position provides a meaningful path in rural surveying with a reputable organisation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of rural and mixed-use properties (farms, land, commercial sites)
• Handle agreements, inspections, rent reviews, notices and reporting via property management software
• Secure new management instructions through relationship building and proposals
• Prepare marketing material, coordinate advertising, conduct viewings, negotiate terms
• Support valuation work in line with professional standards
• Assist with development matters including option and promotion agreements
• Contribute to planning-related tasks and monitor local/regional policy changes

Key requirements

• Previous experience as Rural Surveyor, Land Agent, Valuer, Valuation Surveyor, Property Surveyor, or similar role
• Ideally 3 years PQE
• MRICS-qualified professional
• Background in property management
• Skilled in ReLeased, LandApp, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Full UK driving licence and own transport
