Sales Account Manager

Overview

In this Senior Account Manager role, you own key customer accounts end-to-end within a busy aviation maintenance environment. You’ll manage contracts, drive commercial outcomes, and align operational teams to meet agreed KPIs. The position sits in the Commercial team and involves stakeholder engagement across Production, Planning and Materials to support delivery. You will influence contract renewals, performance reviews, and reporting, shaping value for both customers and the business.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts
• Manage customer contracts and ensure compliance with terms
• Maximise contract value within scope
• Attend customer meetings and performance reviews
• Issue contract briefs to operations to support delivery
• Review and negotiate additional Customer Work Requests (CWRs)
• Liaise with Production, Planning and Materials to support delivery
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities across accounts
• Ensure work orders, billing and invoicing meet KPI targets
• Produce performance summaries and customer reports
• Support proposals, quotations and contract renewals
• Lead and mentor Account Managers within the team
• Deputise for the Commercial Director when required

Key requirements

• Strong aviation commercial/account management background (customer-facing)
• Proven contract management capability and commercial negotiation experience
• Working knowledge of Part-145 maintenance operations
• Solid understanding of aircraft maintenance operations, maintenance programmes and commercial processes
• Confident stakeholder management - able to manage expectations and drive outcomes
• Leadership experience - mentoring/supporting Account Managers or similar
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working under pressure with multiple stakeholders
