Salesforce Solution Architect - Retail/Manufacturing

Overview

In this role you will act as the Salesforce domain expert guiding clients in Marketing Cloud-driven implementations. You’ll shape multi-cloud Salesforce solutions for retail and manufacturing clients, aligning technical decisions with business objectives. You will drive digital transformation to modernize customer experiences and ROI across channels, while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and mentoring teams. This is a leadership role focused on architecture, governance, and strategic delivery with a clear impact on client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to Salesforce expert for stakeholders, advising on capabilities and best practices
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable Marketing Cloud and related Salesforce solutions
• Lead architecture alignment across multiple workstreams and oversee technical direction
• Identify and mitigate solution risks, debt, and design assumptions with business impact in mind
• Engage executives, project managers, and technical leads to drive outcomes
• Develop compelling pre-sales proposals with target architectures, security, and roadmaps
• Mentor diverse teams on technical excellence and executive communication
• Contribute to internal knowledge growth through thought leadership and strategic assets

Key requirements

• 15+ years in consulting/architecture roles with leadership in retail/manufacturing digital transformations
• Deep Salesforce platform knowledge with focus on at least three: Manufacturing Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Loyalty Management, Data 360, Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud
• Clear recommendations on solution approaches, patterns, and trade-offs
• Design artefact review and quality assurance experience
• Relevant Salesforce certifications; architecture certifications like Salesforce Application Architect are desirable
• Knowledge of integration patterns including APIs and Platform Events; MuleSoft and Azure exposure desirable
• End-to-end Salesforce implementation experience; Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
• Security, governance, and compliance understanding (GDPR, data residency)
• Experience designing secure, scalable enterprise solutions
