Saw Operator

Saw Operator - £13.50 per hour based in Yate, South Gloucestershire - working a permanent late shift of 12 noon to 10pm, Mon to Thurs (40hrs per week) Benefits include 28 days holiday (increasing with service), Bonus, Life Assurance, Pension, Onsite parking.

We are working with a well established and highly successful manufacturing company who are looking to recruit a Saw Operator / Machine Operator to join their production team. Reporting to the Production Manager and working as part of a small team - the successful candidate will have previous experience as a Machine Operator where you are setting up and adjusting the machinery - experience operating a Band Saw, Chop Saw or similar would be of particular interest Duties of the Saw Operator / Machine Operator will include: Following drawings and work orders to cut materials to size and correct thickness Checking materials and carrying out quality checks Inspecting first off, using tape, micrometers and calliper instruments Stamping and labelling finished goods Carrying out basic maintenance and adjustments on machineryThe successful candidate will have previous machine operating experience and ideally have worked with metal parts and materials (or similar).

You will be able to work from drawings and follow work instructions, as well as checking finished goods. In addition you will have good IT skills and enjoy working as part of a team in a fast paced, busy environment.
