Scala Developer

Scala Developer Remote Initial 3 Month Contract 450pd (Inside IR35) We are seeking a skilled Scala Developer with Public Sector experience to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in developing scalable applications using Scala, with proficiency in the Play Framework and AWS cloud services.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust applications using Scala. Utilise the Play Framework to build web-based applications. Deploy, manage, and optimise applications on AWS. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Ensure best practises in software development and code quality. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. Qualifications Proven experience as a Scala Developer, preferably within the Public Sector. Strong proficiency in Scala and the Play Framework.

Experience with AWS cloud services. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.

Additional Skills (Preferred) Familiarity with other functional programming languages. Experience with CI/CD tools and processes. Knowledge of security best practises in software development.
