Job Description Job Title: School Business ManagerLocation: Redhill, SurreyContract: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)Salary: £55,000 to £59,000 depending on experienceWe are currently seeking an experienced School Business Manager to join an innovative provider of education and care for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities that opened in September 2025.The provision supports young people aged 1116 with social communication needs, emotional regulation difficulties and sensory processing differences, typically associated with Autism.

Students access a broad, engaging curriculum tailored to their needs, interests and ambitions. With small classes, high levels of support and a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, they ensure every student has every opportunity to achieve.

The roleJoining a school that was newly opened in September 2005, the School Business Manager is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and will ensure the efficient, safe and cost-effective operation of all support departments, including: FinanceAdministrationHRFacilities & Site MaintenanceHealth & SafetyHousekeeping & CateringYou will play a crucial role in keeping the school compliant, financially secure and focused on delivering excellent outcomes for our young people.

This role requires a high degree of autonomy, responsibility and accountability for delegated budgets, resources and operational areas. You will also lead on creating, implementing and evaluating development plans to drive ongoing improvements.

Experience: Strong knowledge of regulations and standards relevant to educationUnderstanding of inspection frameworks used by regulatory bodiesKnowledge of safeguarding and the legislative requirements of working with childrenExperience managing EBITDA, financial systems and budget preparationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong HR, recruitment and employee relations experienceThe ability to build positive relationships with staff, young people, families and external agenciesStrong leadership and team management skillsGood problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesPrevious School Business Manager experience (preferred)A flexible, solution-focused and approachable attitudeA willingness to learn about Autism and a variety of special educational needsBenefits: Training & Development - We offer extensive training and development opportunities to help you grow and succeed.
