Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale The Role A highly regarded Secondary Academy in Oxford is seeking an inquisitive, academically driven, and exceptionally organised Science Teacher to join their expanding STEM faculty.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a biology, chemistry, or physics specialist who excels at introducing students to the scientific method, real-world data collection, and rigorous theoretical frameworks. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality practical and theoretical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 (A-Level) modules in your area of specialization.
Key responsibilities include designing structured laboratory practicals, working closely with the technician team to manage chemicals and apparatus safely, tracking student progress via the school's digital portal, and facilitating extra-curricular STEM clubs or mentoring schemes.
You will maintain an active, safe, and collaborative learning environment. A strong understanding of CLEAPSS safety frameworks and a proactive approach to student assessment are vital to keeping the department running smoothly.
