Job Advert: Scientist II – Physical Testing Contract: 12‑Month Rate: £142.32 per day Location: Deeside, UK (Onsite) About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist II to join the Physical Testing Department, supporting the development of innovative medical devices.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring product safety, efficacy, and quality through robust physical testing activities. As a Scientist II, you will design and execute physical test programmes, contribute to method development, and support multiple projects within a regulated ISO‑controlled laboratory environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to apply your laboratory experience, analytical mindset, and technical skills in a fast‑paced, collaborative setting. Key Responsibilities Work within an ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 laboratory quality system, following GxP procedures.
Design, plan and execute physical testing to support R medical devices/pharmaceutical industry experience preferred. Strong understanding of physical testing principles. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Understanding of compliance requirements including ISO13485:2016, ISO9001:2000, FDA 21 CFR part 820 and GMP guidelines. Familiarity with safe laboratory working practices; experience with statistical analysis and Minitab desirable.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.G., Biological Sciences).
