Security Engineering Manager, SDO AppSec EMEA

Overview

In this role you lead a team of security engineers to strengthen Amazon’s AppSec across services, driving strategic initiatives and scalable security practices. You will foster a collaborative culture, mentor engineers, and advance AI/LLM-based security solutions. Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of Security Engineers and Technical Program Managers for AppSec of Amazon services
• Set the direction and priorities for the AppSec review team and initiatives
• Drive cross-team collaboration and influence stakeholders to adopt security programs
• Foster a healthy, collaborative team culture and ensure delivery of results
• Coordinate effective teamwork across groups with competing priorities
• Improve internal programs and processes to enhance security posture and efficiency
• Create clear, high-quality documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
• Promote automation, tooling, and security process adoption to boost operational efficiency
• Define and inspect team metrics to measure performance and outcomes
• Advance the adoption of AI and LLM use cases in security workflows

Key requirements

• Experience developing and managing a high-performing team
• Experience in progressive work within a software security team or related operating environment
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Experience managing teams or using data analytics and metrics to identify problems
• Understanding of Generative AI technologies, large language models, and AI application architectures
