Senior Accountant

Overview

In this role you will own the UK monthly close and support the group’s financial reporting. You’ll partner with finance and business teams to produce product-level P&Ls and maintain accurate balance sheets. You’ll automate reconciliations, investigate variances, and help prepare consolidated financial statements. Responsibilities

• Deliver monthly close for the UK group companies on time and accurately
• Partner with finance and business stakeholders to prepare product-level P&Ls for decision-making
• Own and automate month-on-month balance sheet reconciliations
• Investigate variances and unusual data trends
• Assist with preparation of consolidated balance sheet, P&L and cash flow
• Consolidate and reconcile data from multiple sources for month-end reporting
• Support continuous improvement of financial controls and policies
• Assist with annual audit preparation and respond to auditor queries

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 0-2 years PQE
• Working knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS
• Exposure to US GAAP beneficial
• Strong Excel skills for high-volume ledger work
• Meticulous and deadline-driven in a fast-paced environment
