Senior Accountant / Client Manager Location: Dudley Salary: £38k - £50k Dep on experience Job Type: Full-time Career Level: Senior / Management An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant / Client Manager We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join our clients' growing practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who is confident managing a varied portfolio of clients, enjoys working directly with business owners, and is ready to take on greater responsibility within a progressive accountancy practice.
The successful candidate will be a technically strong accountant, a confident communicator and a natural leader who is comfortable managing both clients and staff. You will play an important role in the continued growth of the practice, with excellent career prospects and the opportunity for rapid progression.
The Role You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and overseeing the delivery of a wide range of accounting and taxation services, including: Preparation and review of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, charities and not-for-profit organisations Preparation and oversight of management accounts Overseeing bookkeeping and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently Preparation and review of statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with relevant disclosure requirements Managing and, where appropriate, running company audits Advising clients across a broad range of taxation matters, including: Corporation Tax Income Tax Capital Gains Tax VAT CIS PAYE Tax planning for individuals and businesses Dealing directly with HMRC, including handling enquiries and correspondence Using accounts production and tax software effectively Reviewing work completed by junior members of the team and providing guidance and support Team Leadership & Development As a senior member of the practice, you will also have responsibility for supporting and developing the wider team.
