Role Purpose The AC Lead Engineer is responsible for leading the safe and effective installation, commissioning and handover of HVACR systems while supervising junior team members and supporting successful project delivery.

The position requires a minimum of three years' post-qualification HVACR experience, together with the leadership, organisational and communication skills required to coordinate engineers and maintain effective client relationships. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain SC clearance.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery Install, commission, service, repair and maintain air-conditioning systems. Review drawings, plans and specifications to establish installation requirements. Install pipework containment systems and support associated containment where required.

Assist with HVAC control panels and leak-detection systems. Undertake site surveys where required. Ensure installations comply with applicable requirements and legislation. Site & Team Leadership Lead junior engineers and labour allocated to your sites.

Provide clear instructions before work is undertaken. Ensure junior team members are competent to undertake allocated activities. Monitor working practices and ensure health and safety requirements are followed. Provide practical guidance and training to developing engineers and trainees.

Coordinate materials required to complete allocated works. Quality & Compliance Maintain appropriate installation standards. Support maintenance of the company F-Gas register. Support progression of Refcom Elite Membership. Support manufacturer installer schemes, ...
