About the Company

HireIQ are delighted to be partnering with an established professional services firm to recruit an Audit Senior to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to further develop their career within a supportive practice environment.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a varied client portfolio, taking a leading role in audit engagements while also developing experience across accounts preparation, taxation and wider advisory services.

About the Role

Leading and delivering audit assignments across a diverse portfolio of clients and industry sectors Managing audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are achieved Preparing and reviewing audit working papers and statutory financial statements Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact throughout the audit process Gaining exposure to accounts preparation and the preparation of statutory financial statements Assisting with corporation tax computations and other taxation compliance work Supporting wider advisory and accounting assignments, developing experience across different areas of practice Providing guidance and support to junior members of the audit team Identifying opportunities to improve processes and deliver added value to clients

About You

ACA, ACCA or equivalent professionally qualified accountant Newly qualified or approximately 12 years post-qualified experience Strong background in external audit within a professional practice environment Good technical knowledge of auditing standards and UK accounting standards Experience managing audit assignments and working with a varied client portfolio Exposure to accounts preparation and taxation would be advantageous Strong communication and client relationship management skills Proactive, commercially aware and keen to continue developing professionally Interested in building broader experience across audit, accounts, tax and advisory services For further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your career, get in touch with Ben Gourley @ HIREIQ.
