Building a sustainable tomorrowWe are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Bid Writer to join our successful Energy team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the UK’s major infrastructure companies. As a specialist bid writer, you will work within a team that is helping to deliver resilient, low-carbon energy infrastructure.
You will be responsible for shaping winning responses. You will organise and facilitate collaborative writing workshops and comply with bid programmes, presenting high-quality content for review. The purpose of this position is to:• Complete high-scoring PQQ and tender proposal responses for energy infrastructure projects and framework bids.• Produce responses for all topics asked by sector clients.• Champion a high standard of proposal writing and consistently deliver this.
Your teamThis is a predominantly home-based role, with 1–2 days spent in Central London or Wellingborough during key stages of the tender process. Making Possible Develop and finalise high scoring PQQ and tender responses on time:Comply with the proposal development process and programme defined by the lead writer/proposals manager, including any pre-bid stage.
Attend all workshops and meetings as requested by the lead writer/proposals manager. Establish a thorough understanding of client objectives and develop responses in line with the proposals win strategy. Organise and facilitate collaborative writing workshops with section owners, contributors and other relevant people.
Collaborate with section owners to develop Pink Review and Red Review responses, complying with the bid programme. In collaboration with our Graphics team, produce high-quality response graphics. Integrate review comments into developing responses.
Finalise tender responses by bid programme deadlines. Contribute to any post-bid lessons learned exercise. Contribute to the development of case studies. Complete project and framework case studies as requested. This may require site visits and visits to other offices.
Understanding of BAM’s offerUnderstand what differentiates BAM. Keep up-to-date with developments and innovations across the company and integrate the latest thinking into tender responses. Other dutiesComplete other ad hoc requests from within the Energy team.
This could include writing award submissions, value propositions and supporting client presentations. What do you bring to the role? We would like to recruit a senior writer who can step straight into complex bid environments.
You will have demonstrated your ability to produce high-scoring tender responses for major infrastructure clients and be confident to work on high-value, multi-disciplinary opportunities. The role requires an open and adaptable approach to developing solutions, together with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
