55000 - 65000 per annumManchester, England Permanent Our client, a fully integrated design and build business in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team. This opportunity allows you to work on major water and wastewater schemes throughout all phases of the project, from feasibility through to construction.
The client has been named a partner on a new AMP8 framework with a major utility company, responsible for over 3bn of infrastructure in the North West of England. Projects will include upgrades to wastewater treatment works and reducing storm overflows in the largest spill reduction programme in the UK, protecting over 500km of rivers and bathing waters.
Key Responsibilities
Providing design support and guidance for schemes, ensuring compliance with current legislation and standardsCollaborating with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient and safe solutions throughout project stagesEngaging positively with clients, managing relationships, and adopting a team approachManaging the integration of civil design with other disciplines and producing necessary documentationActing as a technical checker on project documents and undertaking technical reviews across teamsIdentifying opportunities to improve delivery processes, including sustainable solutions and digital toolsUndertaking site reviews to ensure the buildability and integration of solutions within existing systemsCoaching and mentoring engineers to develop their skill sets and ensuring the correct resource for projectsJob
Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related fieldChartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering InstitutionExperience in successfully delivering high-quality outputs in accordance with design, quality, and safety standardsEffective communication skills with team members and stakeholdersMethodical approach to problem-solvingValid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites within the operational regionIf you are a Senior Civil Engineer passionate about enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of water and wastewater treatment systems, we would love to hear from you.
