Overview In this role, you will advance design deliverables for complex water infrastructure projects within Stantec's Water Delivery Team. You'll shape 3D models, drawings, and digital deliverables while coordinating with project managers and CAD/BIM staff.
You'll mentor junior staff and ensure QAQC across multidisciplinary workstreams. You'll operate in a collaborative, fast-paced environment across North America, contributing to sustainable water solutions. Pay / Benefits health, dental, and vision plans wellness program retirement savings plan employee stock purchase program tuition reimbursement paid time off Responsibilities Develop and update 3D models and drawings for large multidisciplinary projects using CAD/BIM tools Lead engineering digital deliverables and coordinate QAQC activities Mentor and coach junior staff Coordinate project drawings with project managers using ACC or ProjectWise Design site plans and civil structures including grading, stormwater, utilities, and surface improvements Perform earthworks calculations using topographic data and design surfaces Design grades, sanitary/storm sewers, and water networks per design standards Prepare as-built record drawings after project completion Ensure quality control and meet project timelines Attend regional meetings and coordinate workflow with the CAD/BIM Regional Team Lead Support preliminary engineering concepts in planning phase Key requirements Proficiency in Civil 3D MS Excel and MS Office proficiency Experience or familiarity with GIS; Microstation & InRoads and ACC/ProjectWise are assets Experience with Autodesk Recap and AutoTurn are assets Strong communication and independent work capability Minimum 15 years of relevant experience Certified Engineering Technologist or equivalent technology diploma/experience Knowledge of municipal and regional design/drafting standards Experience in preliminary and detailed design for municipal infrastructure projects Effective communication Independent work ethic Team player Civil 3D ACC ProjectWise
