Senior Construction Manager

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Construction Manager to join our dynamic Staffordshire County Council Account. This role will be based on-site across our Stafforshire depots.,

• Oversee and direct a team of Construction Managers and Supervisors to deliver all aspects of planning and operations
• </br>
• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• </br>
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with standards.
• </br>
• Produce roster for the Construction staff and delivery staff.
• </br>
• Resource suitably competent staff to activities.
• </br>
• Risk assesses site conditions and work activities and plan or initiate suitable control measures.
• </br>
• Ensure that all long-lead plant items, including labour and materials are secured.
• </br>
• Undertake detailed site visits and planning.
• </br>
• Produce or assist in producing multi-discipline work package plans and task briefs.
• </br>
• Promote safe working practices and ensure the compliance of the approved method of work
• </br>
• Maintain accurate records of site resources, materials, and plant. Provide daily resource sheets, weekly plant returns, weekly materials returns and subcontract performance reports.
• </br>
• Optimise the level resources to ensure projects are delivered to budget and specification.
• </br>
• Work in a professional and proactive manner including developing the safety culture with the sub-contractors.
• </br>
• Carry out regular safety inspections and ensure that all accidents and incidents are fully reported.
• </br>
• Participate in regular monthly safety meetings with the leadership team.
• </br>
• Proven track record within the Highways sector, with significant experience leading a construction team
• </br>
• A recognised supervisory or leadership in management course.
• </br>
• Understanding Health and safety legislation relative to construction
• </br>
• A Full UK Driving License
• </br>
• Able to implement and support a customer-centric approach
• </br>
• Knowledge of risk assessment techniques
• </br>
