They’re looking for an experienced Databricks Data Engineer to design and build scalable, resilient data applications that support operational users, analytics platforms, and AI-enabled capabilities. /p p br /p p This is a hands-on technical role sitting at the intersection of Software Engineering and Data Engineering, focused on building secure, production-grade data services that operate reliably within highly governed Defence environments. /p p br /p p strong
What you’ll be doing
/strong /p ul li Building scalable data applications and pipelines using Python /li li Developing streaming, event-driven and orchestrated data solutions /li li Deploying and supporting containerised services in Kubernetes environments /li li Implementing observability, monitoring and data governance best practices /li li Leveraging Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD for secure deployments /li li Owning solutions from design and development through to production support /li li Delivering resilient data platforms within secure Defence environments /li /ul p br /p p strong
What we’re looking for
/strong /p ul li Strong Python development and software engineering experience /li li Experience building scalable data pipelines and distributed data platforms /li li Knowledge of Kafka, Spark and modern data processing technologies /li li Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster or Prefect /li li Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and containerised deployments /li li CI/CD experience with a focus on production ownership and reliability /li li Understanding of data quality, testing and lineage best practices /li /ul p br /p p strong Desirable
skills
/strong /p ul li MLOps or production machine learning experience /li li Terraform, Ansible or other Infrastructure as Code tools /li li PostgreSQL and modern data platforms /li li Experience within Defence, National Security or regulated environments /li li Familiarity with air-gapped, restricted or secure networks /li li Knowledge of Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) or edge cloud technologies /li /ul p br /p p strong Security Clearance: /strong /p p Due to the nature of the work, candidates must hold an active SC Clearance and be a British passport holder. /p
