Senior Data Platform Engineer

Overview

In this role you lead the Data Engineering team to deliver robust, scalable data pipelines and platforms that empower data scientists and analysts. You will drive a Databricks-centered transformation, collaborating with stakeholders to turn data into value. You’ll mentor the team, shape data architecture, and ensure high-quality releases. This is an opportunity to influence how data supports business decisions at scale in a fast-paced airline environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust, scalable data pipelines for analysts and data scientists
• Hands-on work with Databricks, Spark, Spark API, Python, SQL Server, Scala
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to deploy models and algorithms
• Coach and mentor the team (including contractors) to improve standards
• Work with Business Analysts to deliver requirements and realize benefits
• Build a documentation library and data catalogue for developed code/products
• Oversee project deliverables and code quality for each release
