Senior Design Engineer Derby – 4 or 5 days per week in the office, potentially 1 day per week from home Inside IR35 or permanent staff role Nuclear sector – open to experience from other highly regulated sectors A Senior Design Engineer is required to work for a large Nuclear company based in Derby on either an inside IR35 contract basis or a permanent staff basis.
This role will be ideal for a candidate with experience in either the Nuclear sector or other highly regulated sectors such as Aerospace/ Defence Flexibility will be provided with the software experience Your Missions: Design components to customer spec Create models and drawings with CAD As the Senior Design Engineer, you will research new ideas and methods Improve products and processes Modify designs for requirements Ensure safety compliance Find creative solutions As the Senior Design Engineer, you will support junior team members Present designs to customers Qualifications Previous experience as a Senior Design Engineer or similar role As the Senior Design Engineer, you will have the ability to work with the Mechanical Engineering Team to realize ideas Understanding of safety legislation As the Senior Design Engineer, you will have a high degree of knowledge around Design for Manufacture Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX or similar) for model and drawing creation Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcentre or similar) As the Senior Design Engineer, you will have a professional qualification in an engineering related field First Recruitment Group are committed to finding the right candidates for our clients, and the right companies for our candidates to work for.
