Job Description Your new companyYou will be joining a long-established Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Consultancy that delivers high-quality technical design and advisory services across a wide range of sectors.
Their portfolio includes commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, leisure, hotel and residential projects, spanning both new-build and refurbishment schemes. The consultancy is recognised for its collaborative, hands-on engineering culture and commitment to delivering innovative, efficient, and tailored building services solutions across the UK.
With a strong project pipeline, they are looking to further strengthen their electrical team at a senior level. Your new roleAs a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will take a lead role in delivering electrical building services designs from concept through to completion.
You will be responsible for overseeing project delivery, supporting and mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring high technical standards across all work.
Key responsibilities include
Producing and reviewing electrical designs, calculations, specifications and reportsLeading electrical design packages across multiple projects, ensuring delivery to programme and budgetCoordinating with mechanical engineers, CAD/Revit technicians and external consultantsAttending and leading client meetings, design reviews, and site visitsCarrying out site inspections and ensuring quality and compliance on projectsEnsuring all designs comply with UK Building Regulations, BS 7671, and industry standardsManaging workload across projects while contributing to team performanceYou will work across a wide range of sectors including commercial offices, industrial facilities, education, healthcare, residential, hotels and leisure, as well as MOD and secure infrastructure projects.
