Role OverviewWe are currently recruiting a Senior Electrical Consultant Engineer to join a client focused team within our West & Wales Built Asset Consultancy service,to work across various sectors, including public, environmental, commercial, education etc.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive Electrical Consultant Engineer who is familiar with surveying Electrical building infrastructure, can independently undertake design from RIBA Stage 0-4 and is comfortable in providing technical advice to clients throughout the construction stage of a project.

The right Electrical Consultant Engineer will be willing to support our existing team with developing and growing the in-region M&E service to align with our business plan. Role ResponsibilitiesUndertake project feasibility studiesDetailed technical design of Electrical ServicesProduce technical drawingsProduce full electrical tender packagesMonitor Electrical works on site and reporting on conformity and qualityUndertake Electrical condition surveysUndertake pre-acquisition, dilapidation, PPM surveysUndertake technical advisor roles to support clients and develop contractor designsMonitoring Electrical works on site and reporting on conformity and qualityCarrying out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and proceduresComply with established commercial/procurement/contractual strategiesTo comply with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality StandardsAdvising, liaising and working closely with internal project teamsDeveloping Commercial StrategiesCandidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will be delivering customer service excellence, demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role with good commercial results and encompass a realistic selection of the following qualifications and attributes: Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbalExcellent customer service, communication and client/external interface skillsAbility to monitor Electrical works on siteBe proficient in the use of AutoCADWell organised, diligent, proactive, well-disciplined and commercially astuteCommitted to support developing our in-region M&E service offeringFull UK driving licenceWilling to travel depending on project locations.

Majority of work will be in Southwest and South WalesQualificationsBSc Electrical Engineering degree (as a minimum)Recognised M&E qualificationChartered or willing to obtain MCIBSE (or equivalent)ExperienceTrack record in a similar role or site engineeringHigh level of independent Electrical design experience from RIBA 0-4Asset surveying, identification, age/remaining life estimationTechnical due diligence workUse of technology, such as tablets, in previous rolesUse of relevant software such as CAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office PackageREVIT experience would be beneficial but not essentialBehavioursRecognised as a client focused, positive collaborator who shares knowledge freely and offers support to their peers and seniors.
