03rd November, 2026It's an exciting time to come and join the Sepura team. We are looking for an Electronics Test Engineer to support the RF Team, expanding our RF test and automation capability across product verification activities. and radio test coverage and complete evaluation and characterisation tasks on our mobile and handheld products.
As a RF Test Engineer, you will support the design engineers in the capturing of component and sub-system RF performance parameters on new radios covering TETRA, LTE, GSM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GNSS standards. Proving that the designs are fit for purpose across a range of environmental conditions, conducting characterisation campaigns on maturing development hardware, generating test reports and maintaining a database of test results on hardware revisions.
You will be responsible for flagging issues captured during test campaigns in Jira and involved in the investigation and debugging of those issues supporting DoEs for investigation and analysis of radio behaviours. As part of a handset or mobile project you will ideally contribute to the development of test scripts to automate our evaluation and testing of new hardware prototypes with a variety of RF test parameters on a number of different test equipment solutions for a number of different radio architectures and supported radio standards e.g.

Role As part of a project team, you will be responsible for supporting the team's efforts in the bring up, evaluation and characterisation on new radio hardware, preparing test campaign plans and executing those plans under the guidance of the project lead and technical authority.
You will be involved in testing of components, subsystems and systems, as integration of the radio hardware proceeds, generating test reports and interpreting the data for compliance to specifications. This is not a push button role, you will be an integral team member and expected to develop your RF testing knowledge and knowledge of radio standards to cover all aspects of RF evaluation and characterisation, as required.
Developing under the guidance of experienced engineers' knowledge of RF performance parameters, and their effects on system level performance. You will contribute to the expansion of our RF ATE and manual testing capability adding coverage for multiple radio sub-systems and systems, you will ideally develop python scripts for the control of radios and test equipment to capture performance data, post processing that data and generating test reports for the teams to review.
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic engineer, a team player performing evaluation and characterisation test campaigns in a conducted and radiated environment. Keen to develop their knowledge and experience in the field of RF testing, you will contribute the development of our in-house RF ATE systems.
You will liaise with the conformance test and production test teams to ensure consistency of testing solutions, methods and alignment on configuration settings and test solutions as we transfer products from development to validation and into production.
Day to Day Our customer base includes many different industries and markets around the world. Our complete TETRA and LTE solutions have been developed specifically for users in multiple sectors to face their critical communications challenges.
Our critical communications products are adding more radio capability integrating Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GNSS capability and we expect 5G to be added in the near future. These radios require significant effort to determine whether they meet the performance and quality expectations that our customers rely on.
With multiple radios integrated into a handset, there are significant challenges in test coverage which can only be efficiently addressed with improvements in test methods, test coverage and automation, you will be a key contributor in that aspect of growth within the team.
