At Randstad, we are working with a massive construction and infrastructure contractor seeking a Senior Engineer to be based out of Glasgow. Permanent members of staff benefit from5k car allowance or company car26 days holiday 6% pension Private healthcare Role ResponsibilitiesSupporting the delivery of construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

Assisting site teams in the successful execution of project works. Providing engineering support and technical guidance at the point of delivery. Setting out and surveying using GPS and surveying equipment. Monitoring quality control standards across site operations.

Locating and identifying buried services to support safe excavation and construction activities. Supervising subcontractors and monitoring compliance. Reviewing and understanding Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).Promoting a positive health, safety, and environmental culture on site.

Assisting with temporary works activities and ensuring compliance with relevant procedures. Accurately record and report site progress, issues, and engineering information. Essential requirementsMUST be able to get Security Clearance (SC).Experience working on civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction projects.

Knowledge of setting out techniques and engineering surveying practices, alongside GPS equipment and setting out instruments. Experience of quality assurance and quality control processes. Knowledge of buried services location and safe excavation practices.

Able to review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).Strong understanding of HSE requirements within a construction environment. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft 365. SSSTS or SMSTS CAT and Genny DesirableWorking towards membership of a professional civil engineering institutionNRSWA qualification.

Temporary Works knowledge or experience. Relevant vocational qualifications in engineering, construction, or a related discipline. Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
