This is a great opportunity for an experienced Engineering Geologist looking to take on greater responsibility across a varied range of ground investigation projects. The role will involve a strong mix of site-based investigation, technical reporting and project delivery, working across residential, commercial, infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
Planning and managing ground investigations from initial scope through to completionUndertaking and supervising site investigations, including boreholes, trial pits and in-situ testingLogging soils and rocks to industry standardsProducing factual and interpretative ground investigation reportsReviewing laboratory and field testing resultsDeveloping ground models and providing geotechnical interpretationLiaising with clients, contractors and other consultantsSupporting project management, programming and commercial deliverySupervising junior engineers and engineering geologistsEnsuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high technical standardDegree in Engineering Geology, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subjectStrong practical experience within ground investigationExperience producing factual and/or interpretative ground investigation reportsGood understanding of UK ground conditions and investigation techniquesExperience supervising site investigations and working with contractorsStrong technical report-writing and communication skillsA full UK driving licence is desirableChartered or working towards chartership would be advantageousCompetitive salary of 45,000 – 55,000Varied ground investigation and geotechnical projectsClear progression towards Senior/Principal levelOpportunities to develop project management and client-facing skillsSupport towards professional development and chartershipA collaborative London-based teamThe opportunity to work on technically interesting projects across the UKIf you're an experienced Engineering Geologist looking for a senior, site-focused role in London with the opportunity to take on more responsibility, this could be a great next step.
