Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Senior Geotechnical Engineer -Birmingham/Hybrid - £65,853–£74,474 + Benefits An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the largest infrastructure projects in a generation. We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to provide technical leadership across the programme and supply chain.

You will act as a Geotechnical Subject Matter Expert, providing technical advice and assurance across the project. Responsibilities Providing geotechnical leadership and technical support across the programme. Undertaking technical assurance of design and construction activities.

Responding to RFIs, Technical Queries and Departures. Contributing to the development and review of technical standards and specifications. Supporting ground investigation, foundations, earthworks and geotechnical engineering activities.

Identifying technical issues and root causes and providing effective solutions. Working closely with delivery teams, designers, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent approach. You will have A degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or a related discipline, with Chartered status/professional membership or equivalent experience.

Extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, ideally on major infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of ground investigation, foundations, earthworks and geotechnical design and construction. Experience applying technical standards and undertaking technical assurance.

Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Experience analysing data and reporting findings to support decision-making. Understanding of NEC3 contracts, commercial, risk and interface management
