Senior Hydrogeologist

Overview

In this role you will lead hydrogeological work within Stantec’s UK water portfolio, delivering diverse projects in groundwater resources, contamination and remediation. You’ll work in a multidisciplinary team to translate findings into clear client guidance and support the development of junior colleagues. The role offers flexibility across several UK offices and the chance to contribute to meaningful environmental outcomes. You will pursue chartership with backing from the firm, reinforcing a commitment to professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver hydrogeological work across project types
• Communicate findings clearly to clients and stakeholders
• Mentor and develop junior hydrogeologists
• Field-based monitoring and sampling
• Drilling supervision and pumping test design/analysis
• Data analytics and numerical groundwater modelling
• Geochemical and hydrochemical analysis

Key requirements

• Hydrogeology MSc, PhD, or substantial post-graduate experience
• Comfort navigating regulatory, business and policy environments
• Strong written and oral communication skills
