Please note this Senior Lab Equipment Engineer role is located in Stockport and you must have full right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship to be considered. What you will doAs a Senior Lab Equipment Engineer, you are accountable for the reliability, performance, and continuous maintenance and improvement of laboratory equipment used in semiconductor testing.

You'll be used to working to exacting standards and tight deadlines because, put simply, without the equipment in the lab functioning, the company can't produce products. Duties will include: Owning preventative and corrective maintenance to maximise up-time and ensuring quality and safety complianceDiagnosing and resolving complex equipment issuesDefining requirements and supporting the integration of new equipmentMonitoring performance data and delivering measurable improvements in reliability and efficiencyLeading continuous improvement initiatives with clear, sustained outcomesEnsuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining documentationOwning RCA activities (4C/8D), driving actions through to closure and verificationWhat you will needEssentialDegree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline, or significant experience in a similar roleExperience in a service engineering, maintenance, or test lab environmentProven track record in equipment troubleshooting, system integration, and project delivery in a technical environmentStrong fault-finding skills across electrical and/or mechanical and/or software systemsBeneficialExperience with lab/test equipment, maintenance processes, and calibration requirementsExperience in semiconductor, high-volume test environments or highly regulated environmentsKnowledge of characterisation, reliability testing, or surface mount standardsLabVIEW or Python programming skills, or experience of PCB designInterview processStage 1: Recruiter ReviewStage 2: 60‐minute Technical Interview over TeamsStage 3: 60‐minute Competency Interview face to faceYour benefits will includeRemuneration & Reward – 45000-50000/annum, Bonus up to 6%, excellent contributory pension scheme of up to 9%, recognition rewards scheme, EV salary sacrifice scheme, income protection, 12 x salary life assurance policy.
