Full-time permanent role | Hybrid – St Albans and homeworking SENIOR LAWYER – EMPLOYMENT Position level to be discussed. What you'll do Provide expert guidance on all aspects of employment law, including contracts, policies, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and day‐to‐day HR queries.
Represent clients in employment disputes and tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, and redundancy disputes. Guide clients through large‐scale restructuring, TUPE transfers, and workforce planning for corporate clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, HR professionals, and senior executives, acting as a trusted advisor on complex issues. Contribute to the growth of the Employment team through networking, thought leadership, and developing new client opportunities.
About you Experienced lawyer with ideally 10+ years post‐qualification experience. Strong technical expertise in employment law (both contentious and non‐contentious). Proven track record of handling complex tribunal litigation and advisory work.
Ability to develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients and referrers, with evidence of generating work and a client following. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills. Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem‐solving.
Exceptional communication skills (written & oral), capable of interacting with clients, experts, and counsel. Clear expectations and open communication for performance feedback. Desire for meaningful work, inclusion, collaboration, promotion and growth, mentoring, and development.
