Senior Lead Software Engineer - Backend Engineering - Java/Kotlin

Overview In this role you drive the transformation of ideas into customer-facing fintech products within the Accelerator business. You will shape scalable, secure software through thoughtful domain modeling and architecture, collaborating with cross-functional squads.

You'll tackle performance, reliability, and up-to-date technology challenges to deliver zero-downtime releases. This role blends technical leadership with a culture that values curiosity, collaboration and diversity, offering meaningful impact on real-world customers.

Responsibilities Apply domain modeling to build best-in-class business products Structure code for clarity, testability, and evolvability Use scalable architectural patterns to avoid single points of failure Develop secure code to protect customers and the platform Investigate and fix issues quickly to prevent recurrences Coordinate releases with zero downtime for end users Optimize data access patterns for performance Ensure reliability and ease of operation of systems Continuously update technologies and design patterns Key requirements Formal training or certification in problem-solving concepts and applied experience Identifies problems, proposes solutions, and prioritizes focus Contributes beyond own area of specialization and participates as a team player Desire to teach others and share knowledge Adapts quickly to changing priorities and complexity Learns new technologies rapidly and remains comfortable in uncharted areas Sees long-term value, choosing technologies to meet end goals Maintains high personal and team performance standards and ethical integrity Takes initiative and follows a pragmatic, iterative path toward long-term goals team player teaches others adaptability JVM-based languages (Java/Kotlin) cloud-native and multi-cloud architecture open source technologies when appropriate
