Overview

As a Databricks Architect at Senior Manager level, you will shape enterprise-scale Data & AI architectures for major transformation programmes. You’ll define technical vision, govern architectures, and lead delivery with cross-functional teams in a consulting setting. You will collaborate with clients to modernise data estates, implement secure and scalable solutions, and advance Generative AI capabilities. Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and technical strategy for large Databricks Data & AI transformations.
• Define end-to-end architectures across data engineering, analytics, ML, and Generative AI workloads.
• Establish enterprise data architectures, governance, and metadata management using tools like Unity Catalog and lineage.
• Design ML, MLOps and LLMOps architectures with lifecycle management and cost-aware scaling.
• Lead client discovery and architecture workshops to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Provide governance and design authority across programmes, ensuring security and principles compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate architecture into delivery, including non-functional requirements and cost management.
• Create reusable architecture patterns and accelerators for the Databricks ecosystem.
• Advise on technology strategy, cloud adoption, and operating models; support business development and sales pursuits.

Key requirements

• Proven experience leading enterprise architecture for large-scale Data & AI transformations.
• Extensive hands-on design of production-grade solutions on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform (data engineering, AI, governance, security, etc.).
• Strong experience defining enterprise solution, data, and ML architectures.
• Experience designing Generative & Agentic AI architectures (LLMOps, RAG, model governance, deployment patterns).
• Demonstrable experience guiding client discovery, architecture assessments, and strategy engagements.
• Role as Architecture Lead or Design Authority across multiple programmes.
• Solid understanding of governance, security, and cloud architecture principles.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.
