Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities Lead the design and development of both mechanical and electromechanical systems Act as technical lead for mechanical engineering on projects and major work packages providing clear engineering direction & decision making Work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal functions to achieve sound, manufacturable and cost-effective solutions Own complex mechanical problem solving, technical risk identification, and resolution through design reviews and gated development activities Mentor engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering capabilities, methods and processes Skill Required Degree Qualified in Engineering Circa 10 Years in Design, led and delivered project from concept to production (high volume production - ideally), and a technical leader with customer facing experience Technically we need an electro-mechanical product experience, someone who has sound knowledge of the Electrical aspect of products as well as Mechanical Some with a firm grasp of OEM processes and expectations for full vehicle solutions and able to demonstrate experience of CAE requirements and inputs Compensation & Other Benefits Very Competitive Salary, Flexible Hours and Hybrid Working, Relocation Support Private Medical, Group Personal Pension Plan, Life Insurance x4 Salary 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service – up to 5 years max) Please note that our clients are unable to offer sponsorship for employment visas.
