Job Description Senior Planning Officer,Full time, 6 Months Temporary contract£Competitive - dependent on experienceStratford upon Avon, Warwickshire - Hybrid, 2 days on siteDo you have the capability to deal with a range of planning applications and appeals?
Our client, a local authority based in Warwickshire is searching for a proactive Senior Planning Officer to join their development management team. Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Planning Officer include: Dealing with planning applications including S78 planning appealsMonitoring time scales and maintaining high levels of staff moraleReporting on applications to relevant committeesProviding advice based on Planning PolicyAllocating, vetting and processing applicationsPresenting where possible to relevant committeesAdvising on amendments to development schemesEnsuring that applications are policy compliantLiaising with third partiesExercising complete integrity and professionalism towards confidential and sensitive mattersApplying a flexible approach towards the work requiredRegular attendance at committee meetingsEssential experience required: Experience dealing with residential developments (up to 50 units)RTPI recognised qualificationExperience of development managementUp-to-date knowledge of Planning Law and PracticeGood IT skills including MS OfficeFull driving licenceIf you believe that you are suitable for the role of Senior Planning Officer, please apply.
