Senior Process Engineer - Clean Water

Overview

In this role you will shape and deliver process solutions for Clean Water projects across the Midlands, Wales and South West. You’ll lead technical delivery within a multidisciplinary team, moving options from feasibility to detailed design while building strong client relationships. The position combines design work with mentoring and bid support, contributing to the growth of regional process engineering capabilities. You’ll work to ensure robust, sustainable water treatment solutions that improve water resilience for communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of robust process solutions for complex Clean Water challenges
• Apply technical knowledge across feasibility, optioneering and detailed design
• Coordinate design activities with project managers and other disciplines
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and support capability growth
• Contribute to bids and proposals and strengthen process engineering capability
• Undertake process design, calculations, assessments and specifications ensuring long-term value
• Review outputs and resolve engineering issues to maintain quality and consistency
• Engage with clients to communicate technical advice and enable informed decisions

Key requirements

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or actively working towards membership
• Substantial experience in process engineering design and delivery for Clean Water projects
• Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and engineering principles
• Experience producing and reviewing process calculations, design documentation and technical specifications
• Ability to lead technical work packages and coordinate within multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of UK water industry standards, regulations and design requirements
