Permanent Our client, a leading organisation within the defence and security sector, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its manufacturing facility on a permanent basis.

This role will involve managing multiple complex technical projects from initial planning through to successful delivery, maintaining focus and control within a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead projects throughout the complete project life cycle, ensuring deliverables, deadlines and client expectations are met in line with contractual obligationsPlan projects, establish clear objectives, define activities and allocate the resources required for successful deliveryMonitor project progress, resolve emerging issues and ensure work is completed to specification, on time and within budgetManage change control processes to identify opportunities to increase contract value and project benefitsCoordinate project activities using appropriate project management and tracking toolsDevelop financial forecasts and reports, providing regular updates on project performance, risks, challenges and resolutionsImplement risk management plans, identify constraints and develop appropriate mitigation strategiesManage project documentation, status meetings, review meetings and meeting minutes while maintaining effective communication with stakeholdersJob

Requirements

Relevant degree in a technical, business or project management disciplineSignificant experience delivering projects within a technical environmentStrong project management, planning and organisational skillsCommercial and contractual awareness, with an understanding of change management processesExperience working with suppliers, contractors, clients and other stakeholdersStrong risk management and financial reporting experienceProficiency in project management software such as Primavera or Microsoft ProjectAdvanced negotiation, conflict resolution, leadership and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate technical and complex information clearly to a range of audiencesAbility to work effectively under pressure and manage competing time constraintsWillingness to travel occasionallyDesirable Experience: PMP or equivalent project management certificationExperience managing CAT 2 and CAT 3 projectsExisting SC clearanceExperience within the military or defence sectorThis is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Senior Project Manager to contribute to complex defence and security projects while working with technical teams and key stakeholders.
