The roleAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll provide expert commercial leadership across major projects within our Nuclear Defence Support programme. This is a role where your impact is visible supporting complex, high‐value programmes that protect the UK and shape future nuclear capability.

You'll work closely with clients, suppliers, project teams and senior stakeholders to deliver value, manage risk, and drive commercial excellence from bid stage through to final account. Day-to-day, you'll be required to: Providing commercial management and guidance across projects, supporting Quantity Surveyors and project teamsLeading contract reviews, subcontract drafting and commercial governance activitiesManaging tender processes and commercial evaluations for complex equipment and service providersOverseeing post‐contract commercial performance, including change management and subcontractor claimsDelivering final account settlements while protecting commercial and contractual interestsThis role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with three days onsite and two days working from home.

Essential experience of the Senior Quantity Surveyor: Strong experience in commercial management within engineering, construction or infrastructure environmentsProven expertise working with NEC3 contractsExperience supporting large‐scale, complex projects and contract deliveryAbility to manage commercial risk and apply sound judgement in challenging environmentsExperience mentoring or supporting the development of junior colleaguesQualifications for the Senior Quantity Surveyor: Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Building Services Quantity SurveyingSecurity ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
