Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor | New Build & Refurbishment | Hertfordshire | Office-Based I'm working with an established main contractor looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of two projects, reporting directly to a Director.

The main priority is an £8m new-build warehouse, currently in procurement with approximately 60 weeks remaining on the programme. Alongside this, you'll commercially manage a £3m school refurbishment in Hackney due to finish next summer This is an office-based position, offering responsibility across both new build and refurbishment, with close involvement in procurement and ongoing project delivery.

The Role Commercial management of two projects from procurement through to final account Prioritising procurement and subcontract package placement on the £8m warehouse scheme Preparing tender enquiries, assessing quotations and negotiating subcontract orders Producing CVRs, cost forecasts and monthly commercial reports Managing client valuations, applications for payment and subcontractor payments Controlling variations, change and contractual risk Managing subcontract accounts and negotiating final accounts Working closely with project teams and reporting directly to a Director Projects £8m New-Build Warehouse | Procurement Underway - approximately 60 weeks remaining £3m School Refurbishment | Hackney, East London - approximately 35 weeks remaining What they're looking for Senior Quantity Surveyor with main-contractor experience Comfortable commercially managing two projects simultaneously Strong procurement and subcontract package management experience Confident across CVRs, forecasting, valuations, variations and final accounts Experience across new build and refurbishment Industrial, warehouse or education experience would be beneficial Able to take ownership and communicate commercial priorities clearly Happy working from the office in Hertfordshire The Business Established main contractor with more than 20 years' trading history Delivers new-build and refurbishment projects across public and private sectors Workload spanning commercial, education, industrial and residential construction Hands-on management approach with direct access to senior leadership Strong emphasis on client relationships and repeat business Interested?
