Senior Quantity Surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor required in London GVR Solutions are currently representing a very well-established main contractor, who are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The initial focus will be on a £16m refurbishment project in Central London which will be approx.

responsibilities

Reporting to a Managing Surveyor and will be supported by a Junior Quantity Surveyor Take day-to-day commercial ownership of the project from procurement through to final account. Prepare subcontract enquiry packages, tender comparisons and buying analyses; procure and negotiate subcontract packages.

Prepare and agree subcontract orders and manage applications, payments, variations and final accounts. Prepare and submit monthly client applications / valuations and manage client variations and change control. Attend and contribute to client, consultant and commercial meetings; maintain a strong relationship with the client QS.

Maintain project CVRs, forecasts, cost-to-complete information, cash flow, WIP and commercial records. Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities, including contractual notices, EOT and loss and expense where required.

Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager and wider delivery team to protect commercial performance. Requirements for the Senior Quantity Surveyor: Degree qualified or Equivalent qualification in Construction Strong experience working for a main contractor on refurbishment or fit out projects Comfortable working on projects up to £20m Good knowledge of JCT contracts Strong procurement, buying and account management Client facing Confident with CVRs, forecasting, cost reporting and commercial risk management.
