Senior Quantity Surveyor Glasgow | Hybrid Working | 52-Week Contract | SC Clearance Required Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major framework programme delivering complex engineering and infrastructure projects within a highly regulated environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor with strong NEC contract experience to play a key role in the delivery of long-term projects, working closely with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners to ensure commercial success and governance compliance.

Location Glasgow Hybrid working (3-4 days per week in the office) No site travel required Contract Details 52-week contract ASAP start (subject to SC security clearance being in place) £50-£65 per hour Umbrella £37.24-£48.33 per hour PAYE The Role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial leadership across a portfolio of engineering projects, supporting project teams with contract administration, procurement, change management, risk mitigation, and subcontract management.

You will ensure commercial activities are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations whilst protecting and maximising the organisations commercial position. Key Responsibilities Manage NEC contract administration and commercial governance activities.

Lead compensation events, variations, change control, and contractual notices. Support Project Managers on all commercial and contractual matters. Manage commercial risk and identify mitigation strategies. Administer supplier and subcontractor contracts throughout the project lifecycle.

Lead procurement and tendering activities for major work packages. Evaluate supplier and subcontractor submissions from both technical and commercial perspectives. Manage applications for payment, certification, and final accounts.

Monitor project performance, commercial reporting, and cost control. Ensure contract compliance and support governance approval processes. Build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners.

Provide commercial guidance and mentoring to project teams. Essential Requirements Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent relevant qualification. Significant experience in a Quantity Surveying position. Strong NEC3 contract knowledge and practical experience.

Proven commercial management experience within engineering, construction, infrastructure, or other regulated industries. Experience managing subcontractors, procurement activities, and contract administration. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience managing change, variations, claims, and commercial risk. Desirable Experience Nuclear industry experience. Experience within defence, utilities, rail, energy, infrastructure, or other highly regulated sectors.

Experience with commercial management software such as CEMAR. Security Requirements Due to project security
