Job Title: Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: Wakefield (with travel to sites around Yorkshire and one day working from home)Salary: Up to 65,000 plus car allowance & excellent company benefitsEmployment Type: Full-time, Permanent An established and growing regional main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team.
Working across a diverse portfolio of building and civil engineering projects valued between 1m and 15m, you will take commercial responsibility from procurement through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered profitably while effectively managing commercial risk and building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and site teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesTake commercial ownership of projects from procurement through to final account, ensuring successful financial delivery. Manage valuations, cost reporting, forecasting, CVRs, cash flow, variations and commercial risk.
Lead the procurement and commercial management of subcontract packages, including payments and final accounts. Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to support successful project delivery.
Ensure contractual compliance, maintain accurate commercial documentation and provide support to junior members of the commercial team where required. About you Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge across construction and/or civil engineering projects. Confident managing multiple projects while delivering strong commercial outcomes. Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or a related discipline) is desirable. Full UK driving licence. What's on OfferUp to 65,00 plus car allowance and an excellent benefits package.
