Senior Quantity Surveyor – EdinburghTier 1 Main Contractor | Major Projects | Long-Term PipelineI'm currently supporting one of Scotland's leading Tier 1 contractors in the appointment of a Senior Quantity Surveyor, based in Edinburgh.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong reputation, a secure forward order book, and a varied portfolio of high-profile projects across Scotland. The Project PortfolioYou'll be involved in the commercial delivery of a diverse range of live and upcoming projects, including:45m major refurbishment & fit-out project (Edinburgh city centre)20m warehousing / industrial development65m new-build education facilityThe RoleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with site teams, commercial managers and key stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include: Full commercial management of live projectsProcurement and management of subcontract packagesValuations, CVRs, forecasting and reportingManaging variations and change controlSupporting and mentoring junior commercial staffWorking collaboratively with project and delivery teams to protect commercial outcomesAbout YouProven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environmentExperience delivering large-scale new build, refurbishment or fit-out projectsStrong understanding of commercial processes, cost control and subcontract managementConfident communicator, comfortable working with internal teams and external stakeholdersDegree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)What's on OfferCompetitive salary and packageCar allowance / company carWell-structured commercial team and supportLong-term project pipeline and job securityClear progression opportunities within a Tier 1 businessEdinburgh-based role with major local projectsInterested?
