Job Description Senior Quantity SurveyorRotation: 10 days on / 4 days offWe're looking for an experience Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of hyperscale data centres across Europe. This is a site-based opportunity for a commercially focused professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment, collaborating closely with project management teams, clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
The RoleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial function on the project, ensuring effective cost control, contract administration and accurate commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities will include
Managing day-to-day quantity surveying and commercial activities on the projectSupporting project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and cost reportingMonitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunitiesManaging variations, change orders, valuations and payment applicationsAssisting with subcontractor procurement and commercial managementReviewing contracts and ensuring contractual obligations are understood and maintainedSupporting the Project Manager and Commercial Manager with commercial decision-makingPreparing accurate monthly cost reports and forecastsAssisting with final accounts and project close-out activitiesMaintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key project stakeholdersRequirementsTo be considered, you will need: Minimum 5 years experience in quantity surveying or a similar commercial roleA relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related disciplineStrong understanding of contract administration, cost control and commercial reportingExperience managing variations, valuations, subcontractors and project costsGood understanding of project forecasting and commercial risk managementStrong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and contribute effectively within a project teamPrevious experience working on major industrial, engineering or construction projects would be highly advantageousRotationThe position operates on a 10/4 rotation 10 days working followed by 4 days off , making it an excellent opportunity for someone comfortable working within a rotational project environment.
