Job Description Senior Recruitment ConsultantManchester£35,000 - £38,000, plus uncapped commissionAbout the CompanyOur client is a well-established specialist construction recruitment consultancy. They have built their track record across main contracting, civil engineering, project management and specialist trades over a long period and they have a loyal client base of contractors, consultancies and SMEs throughout the UK.

They have divisions dedicated to site management, M&E, civils, trades and project delivery. They want to bring in an experienced senior consultant to take real ownership of a developing desk. The DeskTaking ownership of a developing desk across a construction discipline and growing it further.

Running the full 360 process independently: qualifying briefs, sourcing and headhunting candidates, managing interviews and negotiating offers through to placement. Proactively developing new business alongside your existing client base, identifying opportunities the desk hasn't yet reached.

Building your own specialism within construction recruitment and becoming a recognised point of contact for a defined part of the market. Providing market insight, salary guidance and honest advice to clients and candidates alike.

Supporting and informally mentoring newer consultants as the team grows around you. What You GetBase salary of £35,000 - £38,000, plus uncapped commission to 25%.Real autonomy over how you run your desk, backed by an experienced team when you need it.

A clear route to Principal Consultant as you grow your billings and your niche. Flexible working arrangements and access to industry events. Established CRM and recruitment tools, plus ongoing professional development. Who This SuitsA proven track record of billing in recruitment, ideally (though not essentially) within construction, engineering or a related technical sector.

Confidence to manage your own desk with minimal oversight, while still valuing being part of a team. Strong commercial instincts and negotiation skills, with a consultative rather than transactional style. An interest in developing a specialism and becoming a genuine expert in your corner of the construction market.
