The practice is recognised nationally for its expertise in fitness to practise and regulatory law, with a long-established reputation for handling complex, sensitive, and high-profile matters. You will manage a varied caseload involving fitness to practise proceedings, where professionals face allegations relating to misconduct, clinical failings, criminal convictions, competency concerns, or health-related issues.

Cases range from large-scale fraud and systemic clinical failings to sensitive matters involving vulnerable individuals and serious allegations of inappropriate behaviour. Key Responsibilities As a Senior/Principal Associate,

you will

* Take ownership of complex, high-risk regulatory and disciplinary cases from instruction through to conclusion * Lead on case strategy, procedural planning, and evidential assessment * Act as a key point of contact for clients, building strong and trusted relationships * Supervise, mentor, and develop junior lawyers and support staff * Provide clear, practical, and strategic advice to clients, counsel, and experts * Act as an escalation point for legal and strategic issues within the team * Instruct and liaise with counsel and expert witnesses, including preparation of briefs and conferences * Review witness evidence and expert reports, identifying issues and areas for clarification * Prepare high-quality submissions, reports, and case documents * Contribute to business development, client engagement, and profile-raising initiatives * Support continuous improvement, training, and knowledge sharing across the team About You We are looking for a confident and experienced regulatory lawyer who can operate with a high degree of autonomy.
